What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, organisation, work email, the type of organisation you represent and, if you choose to add them, the roles you find hardest to fill.
Information stored on your device. The site remembers your language and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is not sent to us. See our Cookie Policy.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical details, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Analytics, only with your consent. If you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are. Google Analytics does not receive your name or contact details from us. If you choose “Essential only”, or make no choice, it does not run. We do not use advertising tools.
Why we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your enquiry and discuss a possible programme or pilot;
- take steps towards an agreement you have asked us about;
- keep the website secure and working properly;
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, on steps towards a contract, on legal obligations and, where needed, on your consent. We will not send you direct marketing unless you have agreed to receive it, and you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed:
- within the LynneGlobal group, for example with LynneWaters Personnel when your enquiry involves recruitment or workforce administration;
- with service providers who host the website, handle email or, if you accept analytics cookies, provide Google Analytics, under terms that require them to protect it;
- where the law requires us to, or to protect our rights.
Transfers outside South Africa
Some service providers, such as Google (Fonts and Analytics) or a hosting provider, may process information outside South Africa. When that happens, we make sure the information is protected to a standard comparable to POPIA, as section 72 of the Act requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires. Our standard period for enquiries that don't lead to an agreement is to fill in, e.g. 24 months.
How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a security compromise affects your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold your personal information, and give you a copy;
- correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
- stop or limit how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given;
- stop sending you direct marketing.
Contact our Information Officer using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
Learners and minors
This website is meant for organisations, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information about minors through it. Programmes that involve learners are run under separate agreements, with consent from a parent or guardian where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
